i rode out to Utah lake yesterday, say what you will about the lake and it's condition, but not many people live where they can see this every evening.
I think we were out at the lake on the same day. I took my 7D to do some panoramas. The sun rays bursting through the clouds were seriously breathtaking.
You have a knack for the horizon. I was actually thinking of this fact while I was walking through LAX a couple weeks ago in Terminal 1 (the most enjoyable of all LAX terminals: 1 place to get on a plane, 1 set of bathrooms, no room for vending machines, but it feels like a private terminal). Anyway, the walls were covered with these photos: http://www.lawa.org/uploadedImages/LAX/PublicArt/Altimetry%202.jpg And all I could think was, "This could have been Luke, and he would have put them all in their place"
The full contest, though beneath you, is listed at: http://www.lawa.org/welcome_lax.aspx?id=1610
John, I love hearing about your travels, you are a true storyteller. I checked out that exhibit(via your link) and there were some really great pieces, I'm flattered that you would consider me of equal talent.
Jon, Mom, and Chris:
Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate you regulars on the blog, maybe I should devise some sort of reward system.

Luke, pretty sure you've just proven once and for all. It IS the eye of the photographer.
Honestly, I'm speechless. Breathtaking. iPhone. Wow!
