you can't out smart a fox

this was our second time visiting OZ as a couple. the first visit consisted of the Lady thoroughly handing me my rump in a basket. this time i performed slightly better, but i suspect it had less to do with true skill than the effort of looking cool while playing. either way, it was a fun night with my bff. i can't wait for more of them.

at the edge of heaven

this is the chapel that i attend religious services in. i love the art-deco-esque wooden detail that runs the length of the mammoth space. it really works well to direct the eye to the podium, not to mention the de stijl stained glass window that acts like a giant soft box on the congregation, casting such a nice light on everyone. also, the order 22 picture, i thought it was cleaver no?

it's all about me

i've been featured on a fantastic little site, Michelle and Steve have created twig, and feature artist that they like and are drawn to. i'm flattered to have been asked to tell a little about Wanderlust and my take on creativity.

i shot this one for the portrait of my artist feature. i'm looking through the ceiling height mirror at my dad's house and used my new fancy wide angle lens on my iPhone. so, all, check out the site and buy one of those totally rad wood cameras!

life tastes good!

during the first part of June i stopped eating many forms of sugar, starches, refined stuff, you know, the whole “low-carb” deal. since embarking on this savory journey i have shed approximately 40 lbs, i feel fantastic and have had a fabulous time thus far, and will continue the fight against the fat. the only thing, and i mean the only thing, that i have come to truly miss is my wonderful Coke. i love you Coke, and your cousin Cherry, you were always so satisfying and never failed to titillate my taste buds. i miss you.

i wear this shirt as an homage to my recently deceased relationship with my libatious love.

cheekago

i recently took a trip to Chicago, it was my first time, and found the city to be quite enjoyable. i recommend everyone visits. the only downside to be found is that somehow the younger inhabitants have completely missed the awareness, that the rest of this nations youth has come to, that smoking is in no way cool nor healthy. must be due to the Midwestern location, or maybe they're just trying to make up for the surprising cleanliness of downtown Chicago.
